School of Kingdom Business

Certificate-level training prepares graduates to deliver Kingdom Business seminars in the countries where they live and serve.

Enroll for 2022

Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a certificate accredited by the United States Higher Learning Commission and issued by Cornerstone University and Surprised by Hope.

Toward freedom from poverty of body, mind, and spirit we prepare leaders living in majority-world countries to FACILITATE Kingdom Business seminars where they live. Just as Paul counseled Timothy, “And the things you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be QUALIFIED to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:2).

Our program integrates biblical theology, business principles, and instruction methods with in-field experiences, classroom assignments and examinations, and a comprehensive project thus PREPARING students to advance our vision, serve their communities, and have a kingdom impact.

Tri-Fold Subject Matter

The ability to effectively integrate biblical theology, business principles, and instruction methods signals the certified facilitator’s readiness to serve his or her community independently and to advance our kingdom vision.

Biblical Theology

Certified facilitators demonstrate a theologically sound understanding of Scripture such that they quickly and effectively identify opportunities to integrate biblical theory with business principles, as well as sense and encourage moves of the Holy Spirit.

Business Principles

Certified facilitators have a comprehensive understanding of the Kingdom Business curriculum. Their knowledge extends beyond that curriculum to discerning and redirecting errant thinking, answering questions with wisdom, and offering sound advice.

Instruction Methods

Certified facilitators skillfully apply instruction methodologies specific to adult learners in the majority world. Their ability to instruct well is reflected in participants who successfully apply what they learned and share their learning with others.

Learning Approach

The ability to effectively demonstrate knowledge and understanding developed through in-field experiences, classroom assignments and examinations, and a comprehensive project signals the certified facilitator’s readiness to serve his or her community independently and to advance our kingdom vision.

In-Field Experiences

Seminars held in communities throughout East Africa provide multiple opportunities to practice. Students gradually become skilled at integrating biblical theory and business principles as they practice instructing participants under the guidance of their mentor.

Traditional Assignments

Engaging in a variety of traditional learning assignments—reading and writing, observation and interviews, video and audio lectures, and examinations—students demonstrate knowledge that exceeds the mere repetition of curriculum content.

Culminating Project

Starting a new business or implementing a growth plan for an existing business is a marker of the successful completion of the certificate program. Such evidence is a testimony to future participants and a means for providing support for future ministry.
